"Enjoyable afordable clean hotel. The highlights for us were the stunning sea views and great staff. Thank you to Virginia at the bar who helped us with our Spanish lessons and was always a joy. We enjoyed our four nights immensely. The only thing we thought could be better was the food especially in the two restaurants, buffet was far better than both but we still had full bellies everyday. I would happily return again !"

"This is our second stay at Hacienda Cucuyo. It is such a hidden gem overlooking Samaná Bay. It has a limited occupancy which makes it perfect for a retreat style stay. It is quiet, comfortable, and very connected experience. Daniela is an absolutely terrific hostess! She welcomed us warmly and is the perfect host as is Victor and the rest of the staff. "The hotel has the potential to be a best in class place. The infrastructure is there but staff should be better trained. There was no water from 3-5 PM in our rooms for 2 days and the person checking us in AT 3:00 should have informed us of that. Instead there is a little note on the table easily missed and we didn’t see until we tried to use the restroom in the room.
