"Room not what we were expecting as it wasn’t a cabin but a very damp smelling old and worn lodge in a row of other lodges which were all connected together. However after paying an upgrade on our booking we were allocated a large cabin near the lake"

"We came for a short stay in York. The room and hotel were great. Clean and comfy. Great breakfast. Easy to walk to all the sights. Highly recommend."

"Brilliant stay! Our room (family room) was lovely and spacious with lots of storage. The swimming pool was a great little pool with a toddler splash pool too, and great showers. Little sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were a nice extra, and the staff at the leisure club were very friendly. The breakfast buffet had lots of options - everything you need. Also loved how easy it was to access York on the buses."

"Check in was smooth and staff were friendly. Our room wasn’t very clean, the side tables were dusty and the floor had sequins and residue from the previous guests. There was also a lot of hair dotted around. Breakfast was as you would expect. Rooms were at least quiet."

"Our welcome was super friendly, Our room spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. At breakfast we were also met by friendly helpful staff. Breakfast itself was excellent, as much as you wanted and such a choice. On our departure day our transport home was late afternoon but there was no problem leaving our cases at reception meaning we didn’t have to carry them round all day. The location of the hotel was the best for a sightseeing trip to York - Thankyou"

"Beautiful hotel nice big beds and comfy. breakfast fabulous staff all helpful and was lovely to sit outside and have a drink at the old badgers which is situated within the hotel was beautifully lit up with heaters stopped in many hotels in Harrogate but this one was the best we’ve stayed in will def be returning x"
