"Would never stay at this hotel again, we booked a windowless room however this was 2 floors below ground. The lifts weren’t working , the stairwell was dirty , the corridors didn’t have carpet or they were extremely worn, trying to find your room and way out was ridiculous it was like a rabbit warren with very poor signage . I was told that the rooms had previously been used for asylum seekers and this was obvious given the condition of the facility"

"Excellent stay...beautiful hotel, immaculately maintained...a level above anything else we stayed out during our vacation. Centrally located within easy walking distance of almost anything you'd want to see. Parking was a bit dodgy since the hotel seems to be booked for all sorts of event. The breakfast was ideal. I really want to go back for more."

"Decent sized room (stayed in deluxe double) for 2 nights. Admittedly didn’t feel particularly deluxe as the furniture was old and it felt a little tired. Clean enough but could do with a refurb. Car charging onsite was handy and good location without being stuck in city centre."

"The room was spacious with a good amount of storage whilst the room did not have air conditioning it was cool and a comfortable temperature, which to say it was 30 degrees outside was good. There was a fan available, but we didn't need to use it. Room was clean and the bathroom was acceptably clean. There was however slight mould spots on some of the grouting and sealant in the shower. "Hotel and staff were very friendly and some went the extra mile to make everything top class, including lots of tongue in cheek banter ! The only drawback was at breakfast as it was difficult to move between equipped stations (must have just hit at high peak time) so some of the hot food weren’t replenished quick enough, but the staff were soon on it. Very close to the centre and choice of close by car parks also reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and stay"

"I’ve stayed here before purely because they still have baths, and even then I had to overlook the tired décor, worn‑out furnishings, lack of modern comforts, uncomfortable beds, no air con, single glazing, barely any plug sockets and the £15 daily parking fee. But this stay was somehow worse. Their so‑called “comfort” rooms are actually the lowest budget rooms, ranked below standard, proving they don’t understand the meaning of comfort at all. They even denied using the term despite happily...
