"We stayed here on the last night of a road trip through TN, SC, and NC. We were flying home from Wilmington, and wanted an affordable hotel close to the airport, as we had to leave at 3am for the flight. This hotel was clean and felt safe. They had a pool, which seemed to have a bit of an issue (it wasn’t all the way full), but we still were able to swim and they were refilling it as we were there. "I have used Hotel Ballast exclusively when traveling to Wilmington, NC. I have always had the use of a walk in shower. However, this trip was different. I was placed in room 637 which had a bathtub with the use of a shower. I was not given the option of a room with a walk in shower. Based on ones age and to prevent accidents, rooms should be age appropriate based on guest needs. The room also had an extra door. I could see other guest or employees walking by that door. "
