"Great staff, tidy accomadation,comfy beds and great location"

"Very nice accommodations and very good value. The rooms are in need of a refresh, but extremely functional. Our only improvement would be the food variety. We stayed for one week, which is probably unusual for most guests so we tired of the same food day after day. There is great variety, but the same ever day. As an example, for fruit it's apple, banana and pineapples every breakfast varying with other fruits every other day would be a welcome change. Same with eggs, bread selections."

"I would have to say I have mixed feelings about my stay. I'll start with the positives. The private baths that you can reserve were wonderful and easy to book. The staff were all very nice , especially the restaurant staff. The hotel is charming...but in places looking a bit dated. My room was very spacious and functional...however I did have one issue withe the small refrigerator in the room. Every 2 hour or so it would make a loud grinding sound which woke me up several times... I...

"We have stayed at à few Hoshinoya hotels in Japan & Taiwan but this is the worst one so far. The room is dark, outdated and to get from bed to bath with many steps makes it difficult at night when the lights are so dim. Only tap water is complimented in the room . The meditation onsen is so dark inside all you see is dark wall no day light the vibe makes me feel scary not relaxing. No compliments of milk or ice cream after bath only juices cans sharing outside of the bath house for both...

"Good overall for the price. Breakfast was good. Room was decent. Hot springs were a nice bonus. My main complaint would be that the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the pillows made my neck hurt."
