Likuri Island Resort Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"We had a fantastic stay on the island. It was so relaxing, yet there were enough activities that we could take part in on the island - snorkelling, weaving, coconut cooking classes, crab cooking classes, medicine nature walk, line fishing, banana boat rides, kayaking, lounging on the hammock, karaoke, kava tasting etc.. The evening shows were fantastic. The staff were super friendly, everyone is considered part of family. The food was authentic Fijian, including being cooked in the ground on hot rocks - lovo. There is nothing better than being on an island relaxed Fiji style, meters from the beach and warm water. "

Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"Great stay. Looking out from our own pool was so relaxing. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was a good variety and delicious. Snorkeling out the front of the resort was amazing. "

Shangri-La Yanuca Island, Fiji
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed here for a week, and there was plenty to keep ourselves and our 7 year old entertained. We were initially hesitant to put our son in kids club, but he had an absolute blast. There are three sessions of kids club each day: morning, afternoon and evening. The evening one is great as it allows the adults to have a peaceful dinner together while the kids race frogs and party. The beach and reef were better than we expected from the mainland, and there were lots of gorgeous fish to spot snorkelling. Shout out to the staff who took amazing care of everyone and adapted well to a cyclone that rolled through. The indoor bingo and family quizzes were an excellent plan B for bad weather. "

The Beachouse

"The dorms were great value for money with continental breakfast included. Staff are the best at the bar. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy, serviced regularly. Look forward to staying again "

"Friendly staff clean rooms "

Musket Cove Island Resort & Marina
8/10 Good
"My boyfriend & I stayed at Musket Cove for 2 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in a beachfront bure. The house was spacious & the view was great. However, we had an issue with bugs in the room, which made the stay unpleasant. When we first arrived, we noticed a large amount of ants on the wall, bed, bar, & night tables. We alerted the front desk, & someone came in & cleaned the wall & changed the bed linens. However, when we returned to the room a short while later, the ants were back. We ended up moving the bed away from the wall, which seemed to help keep them off the bed. However, there were still many ants on the bar & tables. This made these areas unusable. We did alert the front desk but we were told it was part of island living. However, in speaking with other guests in the same accommodation type as us, we learned that they did not share this experience. The situation was never resolved & this was truly disappointing.
Our stay included the meal plan. We enjoyed the pizza from the restaurant near the front desk & the seafood night buffet from the main restaurant. We found the other meals to be average.
We spent a lot of time in the "quiet" pool & enjoyed the zen vibes there, as well as the activities offered at the resort.
On this trip, we stayed at 5 different resorts in Fiji. At most of the resorts, we were impressed by the Fijian hospitality & friendliness. While we met some lovely people at Musket Cove, we found the warmth/friendliness to be hit or miss. "

Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa
2/10 Terrible
"We recently stayed at Hideaway Resort and were extremely disappointed. This is not the same place we visited 10 years ago—it’s now run down, neglected, and clearly gone backwards.
Our first night in Bure 100 was unbearable. Located right next to the highway, the constant noise from trucks and buses made sleep impossible. On top of that, the room was poorly cleaned, with dust on the bed and pillows—completely unacceptable.
We arrived late from Nadi, yet the staff weren’t even aware of our check-in. The warm Fijian welcome we once experienced—garlands and drinks—was completely missing. It felt disorganised and indifferent.
After complaining, we were moved to Bure 97. While quieter, it was at the far end of the resort. With an infant, the long walks were frustrating, but we didn’t bother pushing further.
The decline in food and service was the biggest letdown. Options are now limited and disappointing. One morning, we were just 10 minutes late for breakfast due to our infant and asked for something small. The chef flatly refused—no flexibility, no care. That attitude says everything about how far standards have dropped.
To make matters worse, there has been no improvement to the bures—rundown bathrooms, no daily room service, and no telephone. Staff seem trained only to say “Bula” and play the Lalli for arrivals and departures, rather than provide genuine service.
Overall, a very poor experience. We won’t be returning—there are far better options like Shangri-La and Warwic"
