"I greatly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I was there for 7 days. I wanted to be outside of Amsterdam downtown and I was well-served! There was a tram almost in front of the hotel, which was convenient in both directions. It is a 10-minute walk to the metro. The breakfast was fantastic! And even more so at the top of the hotel. Beautiful views over Amsterdam. The staff was also extremely helpful and attentive."

"The room was nice and I really appreciated the air conditioning. Enjoyed the great view from the 7th-floor bar at sunset (and would've enjoyed the rooftop hot tub and sauna if the weather hadn't been so hot). Skip the overpriced breakfast buffet (which is mostly just bread and cheese) upstairs and get a tastier quick breakfast and an excellent chai latte at Werkplats on the ground floor for 1/3 less. "This isn’t the first Hoxton I’ve stayed at, but I won’t return until they work out some issues. First, there’s so outside ramp to bring up your luggage. Second, like a lot of Europe, there are few rooms with air conditioning. Europe is undergoing a historic heat wave, and as much as the hotel tries with fans, my first room was sweltering. "Room was on the 6th floor. Weren’t told the correct lift at first so got a little lost . Had to go back to reception and were given correct instructions to find the room. Exceptionally hot during stay but air con in room was excellent thankfully. Very good location - next to Central Station and close to centre. Dam Square 10-15 min walk, Ann Frank House 25 min walk. "The location was good, but overall we were disappointed with our stay. We were initially told babysitting services were available, but after arrival we were told otherwise and only after repeated complaints was one babysitter arranged. Housekeeping was below expectations, with towels and linens not being changed properly and the room not cleaned well. Customer service did not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel, and our complaints were not adequately addressed."

"I love the place, but they don’t have a Turkish bath. I’m not sure the hotel knows what a Turkish bath is. They just have a pool, steam room, and sauna. It’s also not private at all, so be ok with sharing."

AC works great which was very important to us given the summer heat. Only thing to note is that rooms are very small."

"The staff were very accommodating. Provided an early check-in after a redeye flight and gave us a quiet room to catch up on our sleep. Provided great recommendations for the surrounding area and filled our water bottles before leaving the hotel on a very hot day. We will go back!"
