"We loved that the hotel was so central to where we needed to be. The hotel exudes charm and the furnishings really lean in to the old-time vibe. The bed was so large and comfy! Breakfast was delicious with a really thoughtful selection showcasing local produce and the chef’s expertise. Thank you for a lovely weekend."

"The room was a little on the snug side but clean, tidy and well maintained. Plenty of tea/coffee in the room, a small fridge - everything you would expect. Breakfast excellent, the bar was a nice place to hang out and the view from our room was lovely overlooking the castle. I'd definitely stay here again."

"First impressions of the hotel were excellent and overall it is a lovely place with generally attentive staff.
All was going well and the receptionist said that we were lucky as our room was air conditioned, while others were not.
We had been allocated room 6 and on opening the door there was an interesting staircase which split in two at a small landing with one set of stairs going to the bedroom, with the other leading to the shower room. Getting between the rooms you have to be very...

"We have stayed at the Petwood Hotel before, in order to join a friends party.
We loved it so much that I treated us to a room overlooking the garden. It was well worth the extra money, as there was a raised area with a lovely table overlooking the gardens as well as the huge size of the room itself.
The history and atmospheric quality of the hotel is superb and the local area is fabulous, especially for walks or cycling.
Treat yourself to Sunday lunch if you can as a fabulous pianist called...

"Hotel room was nice and clean, spacious enough for the 2 of us, everything was in working order and tea/coffee stocked up. Only down size was the bed, it was nice and big however, made a noise every time you moved and was quite soft compared to what I’m used to but I guess that’s down to preference."

"We didn’t stay - after a 350 mile drive we arrived to find it very firmly closed.
Ironic you send this questionnaire after your reservations person (based, unhelpful,y, in Arizona) spent over an hour and a half on the day getting us alternative accommodation."
