"This place is FOUL! They woke us up at 8 am by installing support beams right outside our window!! That makes sense as to why the guy told me they don’t rent out the upstairs. Probably unsafe! It stinks so bad, Im so glad we had febreeze! I didn’t even want to touch the tv remote so I used a wet wipe. It’s gross!!! Hands down do NOT recommend!"

"This hotel opened its restaurant at 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026, for breakfast for guests who were booked for a train excursion that boarded at 7 a.m. What excellent service. We talked to other people who had stayed at other local hotels and were told that some hotels did not alter their hours to accommodate this important event (the train ride to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States). Kudos to the Doubletree in Newark, Ohio."

"Wife and I came in town for our son's wedding and needed a place to stay in this area. It is surrounded by food places to eat withing 1 minute walking distance including Starbucks for coffee. Our initial room was very much in need of repair. Bottom floor. The person above us was very loud and we could not sleep night 1. At 1am we were moved to a newly cleaned and refurbished room upstairs so no one was above us to hear banging. Not the hotels fault. Just inconsiderate guests. Our room upstairs...
