La Altagracia Hotels with Early Check in

"Starting off with the rooms they are very nice but the air doesn’t work (we brought our own fan thank god), the mini bar isn’t cold, balcony doesn’t lock, housekeeping will knock on your door and try and open it at 6-8 every day (even if the do not disturb sign is out), we spilled something on our sheet so I put it in the corner for housekeeping they put it back on the bed two days in a row, and we lifted up the couch cushions and there was bathing suit bottoms and a hair brush that didn’t belong to us…. Next starting with the food it was not good by any means. One all the drinks they have is coke, sprite, water, and alcohol. There was multiple nights we had made dinner reservations and ended up going to the buffet after because the food was so bad. The only restaurant we liked was the steakhouse and the pizzeria. If you have any allergies with food I do NOT recommend here the cross contamination is horrible. Next staff it was very hard to understand everyone at the entire resort. For excursions if you book with the resort, do not pay the full price we went in there twice and they gave us multiple different numbers. They can give up to 20% off. Even though the peacocks are beautiful, they are very annoying and they are very loud. They are worse than roosters… If you would like an enjoyable day on the beach, sit very far back from the ocean. Every five minutes there will be at least eight people coming up to try and sell you something. "

"Arrived to a “family friendly” resort with a 4 month old. Absolutely HORRENDOUS Food is terrible, minimal reservations with same food as buffet just served in a separate restaurant. Showers are falling off the walls and the shower POURS out into that bathroom. Mosquitoes swamped in the rooms eating us alive with walls crumbling apart. Terrible customer service A “family friendly” resort with no freezers for moms that breast feed and over produce. Leaking ac units all over the place especially the rooms. Garbage view that was supposed to be garden view building four facing adults side with a rancid smell. Safety. Someone tried breaking in our room at 2am. Almost busted down our door and the phone was not working to call the front desk nor was their phone when I used my personal phone. Gave the guy a warning and let him back on the property. I had a 4 month old with a stroller and the elevators either don’t work or you have one that goes up and one the goes down, in separate areas. Just a very inconvenient place overall. Bad service, bad food 1000/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND."
