"What a bad experience. The place was a dump and the staff was like something out of a bad movie. We had a change in plans that forced us to find a hotel last minute during a busy big city weekend. Unfortunately this was the only option. Everything from foul smells, stained and dirty sheets, and a staff that seemed like they may be being trafficked. "If you are interested in a luxury hotel, there are better choices. This place is overrun with children, people laying on the floor of the lobby, people in sweats and pajamas hanging out in the bar. It is a newer hotel than some of the beautiful hotels on the plaza, but I will from now on choose to return to the plaza. Valet parking was never an option. Doormen were inattentive and not helpful. Front desk slow and not responsive to concerns. We did have a lovely dinner at 1587 and I hope it will...

"We liked everything about your hotel. Pretty special, to be down town, so close to everything. My only complaint, would be getting my luggage from the parking garage to the East Tower. Three elevators, and a Sky Bridge. I should have used Valet parking."

"Our room was dirty. There was trash in the room the bed had hair all over it. I paid extra to get the breakfast and didn’t even get to get any the 3 days we stayed. I left the staff know about the room and told them we’d be gone for a little bit so that way they could go in there they didn’t "

"The Fontaine is in our rotation when traveling to KC. It continues to be very suitable for its location, cleanliness, comfort and value. Are the rooms in need of updating? maybe, but not to extent of calling them tired. We love visiting the bar on the 7th floor off the pool deck, though pool was not open for the season yet on this stay. Some of the best happy hour drinks you'll find anywhere! On matter of bathroom towel racks, none except one in the shower, not sure why there aren't any on...

"I was given an "upgrade" from a two-queen room to a king suite with a king bed and a fold-out bed. I was told blankets and pillows would be delivered so the fold-out would be usable, which, by the way, would require moving furniture to do so. I followed up on blankets/pillows three times, and finally, at midnight, I gave up. The "upgrade" was a lie, and I ended up paying over $400 for a space that was, for all intents and purposes, unusable. Add to that the fact that the entire lobby looked like...
