"Welcoming staff, Room was very comfortable and housekeeping was excellent room made up to a high standard every day of stay. Breakfast was very good ate in restaurant 2 nights of stay food was really nice. Excellent location on seafront near electric tram and steam railway To sum up we all have enjoyed our stay at the Empress hotel"

"The hotel is very dated, not very clean and not maintained very well. Stayed there because it was a Best Western, but it wasn't of the same quality of a Best Western Hotel. The elevators were reliable, front desk not very friendly. Glad I was able to store my luggage prior to checking in to another hotel nearby for the TT races."

"Went here for the TT. Overall this is a pure bed and breakfast however the accommodation was a bit cumbersome. Fitting two people plus suitcases into the room we were given was really congested. Great staff, very accommodating and friendly."

"Just checked out from a six-night stay here. LOVED my room - a business room with a sea view. I normally don’t get too hung up on sea views but this one was special. Spent a lot of room time sitting in my little alcove with its big bay windows, staring out to sea and the Tower of Refuge, contemplating the tides. Perfectly located. Great for walking along the beautiful promenade and shopping along the Strand. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were wonderful and super helpful....

The staircase up to my room on the 2nd floor (=UK 1st floor) was somewhat narrow and steep, and shall I say, tricky to navigate with luggage,...

"Well decorated establishment ,a compact room with all the necessary facilities. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Situated within easy walking distance/ public transport of the town facilities, theatre, cinema."

"Great Location, rooms were clean and bed was comfortable but room was very basic. An older building so one has to live with certain limitations. No Wifi available on 2nd floor. Shower was low pressure and did not get very warm. However all things considered would stay here again."

"Well located hotel within five minutes walk of the ferry port. An old fashioned style B and B with seemingly new owners (Opul Group). Rooms are large but maybe a little in need of a refresh. Everything clean. Breakfast included which was surprisingly excellent. Buffet style but even catered for us as vegans which was amazingly welcome. Well located for the town centre, next door to wetherspoons which can be loud on a weekend, but no huge problem."

Love it. ❤️ Jack is an ace in the bar and restaurant 👌. Only slight 'complaint' I can imagine is, They should offer better pillows or different types, goose or foam would've been better than current pillows. Would highly recommend."
