"The property is timber framed and old, really old. Cleanliness and condition is very good but this building needs constant maintenance. We loved it, it’s very old and full of history. Very cute little town, very nice surroundings. We hit it in the middle of a heat wave and there is no AC, in fact there’s likely no AC in most of the village but the normal temperature does not require it. We were just unlucky. "Definitely a bit different to other hotels we have stayed in, possibly best described as quirky. Loved the use of wood throughout & our somewhat alternative four poster bed. Our room was spacious, with 2 comfortable chairs. Very clean & well presented. Thoughtful use of plants & small seating areas outside: we had a sheltered little patio.
Good choice at breakfast, although having to decide on arrival some of what we would like for the 2 days felt like a bit of a challenge. Could understand...
