"Disappointed with the food, it was ok but a bit undercooked, some items missing, and service was a bit slow. The food used to be amazing here, the ingredients still seemed high quality but the preparation and taste wasn't as good as it used to be. The main disappointment was that the rules of the spa have changed and we were unaware we had to book the spa and could only attend at certain times which wouldn't have suited anyway. So we did not get to go to the spa as planned. In previous years...

"Nice breakfast,
The property looks the same as it did 5 years ago and has lost that cosy feel. It needs a little TLC and it seems to have lost the ‘Scottish roots’
Staff are very polite but wouldn’t say friendly with almost a passive agressive attitude. "

"The hotel was awesome. Staff super helpful and nothing too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and clean (needs some more storage space though).

"Hotel Pool and gym and recommended gym were all closed for renovations. This should have been known and told. Bar would not make a Dirty Vodka Martini even tho martinis drinks were in the menu… disappointed"
