"Staff were very helpful but team weee over run when golfing group arrived and dinner service was slow and confused. It was not clear about the additional charges for the spa, or the large range of prices offered depending on time of day. Again the staff were helpful but I was surprised at the choice of a male cleaner in the female changing rooms at the start of the session …. Again not a reflection of the staff. "Gorgeous hotel, lovely spa & location fabulous. Loved that the breakfast was made to order. Only issues we had were that we were there for the night before & directly after our wedding which they were told on 3 separate occasions, and they didn’t do anything special to commemorate/ celebrate it. Also the fire alarms went off multiple times including in the early hours of the night apparently due to some guests smoking in the rooms which was disruptive and inconvenient."

"A lovely hotel and spa. Nice swimming pool, sauna and gym. Good breakfast. Nice friendly staff. Excellent location. My only disappointment was the room was a bit tired and only 2 sockets which were on the opposite wall to the bed. Also the kettle had to sit on the floor because the cable wasn’t long enough to have on the table. Also would have been nice to have some decaf teabags. Small problems really but just observations."

"There was a mixup with the rooms when we checked in and they changed our rooms to something simple which was great. A very higgeldy piggeldy hotel layout but it worked out in the end. Breakfast was fine. But not enough staff on hand."

"Breakfast wasn’t what I expected, hotel under refurb so restaurant closed and had to go elsewhere with a voucher but not a breakfast buffet which I was expecting.. Also in my room the extraction fan in bathroom didn’t turn off all night ( slightly lower humidity with door closed… Fridge didn’t work so had to throw food away.. also hotel tried to charge again even though I paid in advance last month!"

"Once I saw that the hotel was now run by OYO I nearly had a heart attack as the one in Cardiff is shocking! The only reason we were okay was because of the manager who is looking at leaving anyway. It is a terrible company. You can see things are deteriorating already. The carpets are very dirty. We were in a room that had almost light coming in."
