"There was no wifi service on the four days that I stayed, and I had to go to a coffee shop to send urgent messages. The room was good, but the shower was unsatisfactory. Tv reception was unwatchable."

"This charming hotel is pretty much perfect in every way from location to the friendly, welcoming and attentive staff, food, hotel gardens and cleanliness.
Good selection of breakfast, however, an option of croissant/pastries may be worth considering.
We stayed in a cosy double room. Whilst the room was exceptionally clean with towels/bedding changed on a daily basis, complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits topped up daily too, we did find the room very warm and stuffy. Other than that, a very...

"Historic building full of character, enclosed feel as surrounded by trees, friendly and helpful staff, good food, one nice touch was packed lunch available at no extra cost, even better if more soap etc and more comfortable seats in dining room."

"In an en suite b&b we had to leave our room and walk the length of the corridor to reach our shower/toilet.
There was no food available on the premises."

"Booked as we had an early flight from East Midlands airport. Owner met us soon after we arrived. Nice room, great comfy bed, very good shower. Advised there was a good restaurant just down the road (15 min walk) which we visited and had a very tasty meal. Left in the morning too early for breakfast, but not host’s fault. Very good nights sleep. Plenty of parking. Road to airport a bit narrow and windy, but we made it in plenty of time. Would recommend."

"Lovely old property, it was right for us within nice walking distance to darley park for a concert( 20 mins). Very quiet area, slept lovely, comfy bed and pillows. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Perhaps needs a bit of tlc and promoting as it didn't seem busy and really should be. If the outside door looks closed late at night just push it you can get in. Good value for money."
