"Overpriced "

"On the whole our stay was lovely. Beautiful location Hotel room slightly dated didn't look like the photos on the website. Staff were okay. Asked for a margarita at the bar said they couldn't make one. So asked for a fresh raspberry cocktail which was on the menu. Described as having fresh raspberries. No raspberries to be seen. And the drinks were expensive. Breakfast was nice but slow. Wouldn't return."

"A tale of two halves…. Beech Hill & Spa Windermere Terrace and views = outstanding. Walk down to sit by the lake = very nice indeed. Deco and furnishings = very nice. Parking = free - nice - can become overcrowded very quickly. Staff = nice, they try hard. Spa = indoors is nice if a little small. Outdoors not available due to refurb. They try to blame you Expedia for not telling me. Refurbishing/upgrade = not an expert, but it’s looking like will not be ready for the summer season...

"We stayed at the Kings Head last weekend and had a lovely time. The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. "Stayed at Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa for 3 nights and honestly… the thermal journey is the only reason I’d come back. Rooms are pretty meh—dated and not the cleanest. We were in room 166 and there were visible spill stains on the wall (not great), but it did have incredible lake views. It was also super convenient being so close to the elevator to take you to the spa. Read the fine print: access to the main pool (with infrared sauna + eucalyptus steam) is limited to 2.5 hours. "We had a relaxing couple of days. The staff were first class. Our room was clean & spacious with a lovely double kingsize bed. The service was spot on the food was of good quality,fresh & local I believe.the spa facilities are good and inclusive with extra treatments available for a fee. We came away from there feeling relaxed & refreshed. Would we go back…yes Would we recommend…yes Is there room for improvement..if there is, not by much."

"Amazing, the photos do not do it justice, lovely cosy cottage a home from home and fully equipped. Great location, short walk to village incl pubs and chippy, also access to walks (which pass through livestick fields so dogs on leads). Grizedale forest was a short drive away with really good (long & short) walks, better for dogs off leads. "

"Everything was perfect, the staff were excellent and we were so happy to have chosen this place. The only negative feedback is that the Pizzas were not very nice however all the other food was absolutely amazing so please don't take this feedback the wrong way. "This is our second visit to this hotel. It is well placed for wandering around the area and boat trips. The bedroom was spotless and bed comfy. All staff friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choice "

"Yes the staff was friendly my husband had a medical emergency staff did up and beyond there duty had the same room for extra nights while my husband was in hospital couldn’t do enough in making my still was saved and se cure .Did not get to the spa but I would books holiday there again in a heart beat.breakfast had lovely options "
