"Loved being able to stay in the original "castle" part of the building, but the layout for the lovely bathroom (in a round turret of the building) needs to be rethought. The claw-foot tub presented quite a problem for us mobility-challenged patrons to maneuver, and left a huge puddle behind the tub after showering. "I had a basic room, but it was nice. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was lovely. Enjoyed the bars/restaurants in walking distance. The locals were all very welcoming and friendly. About 20 minute walk to the train station that is easy transport to Croke Park in Dublin."

"Everyone was very friendly and especially helpful when we needed to upgrade our rooms for our two-night stay. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were terrific. I’m sure the work zone, once completed, will be great."

"The Carton House was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. The staff were attentive and kind, the hotel itself is gorgeous, and they have the most beautiful walking trails into the nearby town of Maynooth. We had an early flight with our young children in the morning, and the staff prepared breakfast to go for the car. Every detail was on point. Would recommend and stay at the Carton House again!"

"Hard to fault on many levels. Hotel is clean and well maintained. Had an evening meal in the restaurant which was nice. Plenty of parking. Room was clean, good bed and pillows. Ticks all boxes."

"It was a little unclear how to check in. The rooms were in one building and the check in was at the restaurant next door. Signage would have been helpful. A restaurant customer noticed us looking “lost” and directed us to the checkin area. The rest of the stay was very comfortable and smooth."

"I had a pleasant stay overall. The bed was very comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the restaurant and bar, where the live music was a highlight. However, one area that could be improved is the customer service. Unlike many hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe, there didn’t seem to be much of a focus on warm greetings or friendliness toward guests. "Tara View Apartments is a peaceful, beautiful property. The staff are helpful and congenial. The accommodations are shockingly good for such an economic option. Public transit and taxis are hard to come by, so car hire is recommended. That provided, there couldnt be a better place to stay in County Meath unless one absolutely must be able to get to the city by foot or bus."
