"I spent my time on the beach. The pools were nice. There was a variety of food options but the restaurants are buffet not made to order. In the evening, there was no hot water for late night showers."

"Deluxe junior suite was beautiful! Adults really should stick with Westin Club pool. Best food was at Faisinella. Bamboo Asian was really bad. Caracola has most diverse menu and pretty good. Bathrooms in restaurant area were shameful. Sunset at beach incredible, but local vendors can be annoying. Overall still a great resort!"

"Hotel Los Lagos is the best hot springs resort at Arenal. The price is reasonable, the hot springs are great, the slide is fun, the breakfast is fantastic, the staff is helpful and friendly. I cannot say a bad thing about this resort, everything was great. This was my 2nd visit this year, and, I have visited this resort, maybe 8 or 10 times over the years."

"This is a gorgeous property but not as all inclusive as you'd think for the price.They try to get you to a timeshare meeting when you arrive but they aren't too pushy. Then, as you go, you find out there are a lot of "yes, buts". For example, we asked a bartender if we could take a bottle of wine back to our room with us and he said yes just call room service. So we did and they said the limit was 2 glasses and it would be a 45 minute wait. The staff were friendly but you had to pay mucho out of...

"Everything was perfect"

"The meals were average at best, nothing memorable. The room was clean but not well stocked. The furnishings were old (curtains torn and dirty), mismatched cups with chips and stains. Only one of everything in a room for two people so we had to ask for the second coffee cups etc. the one plus was the water dispenser in the room that served hot, room temp and cold water. "

"The property was just beautiful, so green and lush. Our room was very nice with a great patio facing Arenal Volcano. Fun swimming pool and beautiful thermal pools. Food was fantastic. Staff was awesome"

"I really needed a room change , there were three of us and the beds were not big enough, the staff were abrupt and did not really try to accommodate us so that there were three beds for us to use or even a rollaway bed, the rooms are very tiny and there is no place to sit down in the room only a couple of chairs outside, there is no refrigerator , so no ability to keep drinks cold. My recommendation is to stay someplace else and visit. I had booked it for 4 nights and no refund was given, we...

"The view of the volcano (when not cloudy) and the restaurant on the top floor are both quite nice. Here are a couple reasons we didn’t love it: the hot springs are basically a couple jacuzzis coated with a black plaster, the sauna wasn’t steamy or hot enough, the gym needed a reservation and wasn’t available before our early departure, you can’t walk anywhere from here and the staff interactions were a little forced.
