"The staff was amazing. All of them were very professional and accommodating. The hotel itself was beautiful and luxurious as advertised. We had a pleasant stay. The only complaint I could think of is that the motel behind it is extremely ghetto and unsafe to walk by but that isn’t even in The Renaissance’s control, it’s more of an unfortunate circumstance. That being said I absolutely would recommend staying at the Renaissance and would 100% return to stay for future vacations in Denver."

"Grand, historic charm characterize the experience here. The hotel was built in 1893, so the building had its quirks, but these add to the distinctive atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. Again the building is quite old, and our suite did not have a thermostat nor an exhaust fan in the bathroom, but it was comfortable nonetheless, as the ceiling fan and open windows did the trick. "

"The Ameristar Black Hawk is a great place to stay whether you plan to gamble or not. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Not sure how they were able to build it in the middle of the mountains. Large parking garage connected to the hotel and multiple restaurants onsite. We stayed one night on our way from Idaho Springs to Estes Park."

"We didn’t have breakfast included because they said we paid a lower rate for our room. Rooms were nice if they were out of room in the lot you can park in the garage. It was a little confusing and required a bit of a walk but felt safe"

"What an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast had all the typical offerings you'd expect, and we absolutely loved the complimentary evening popcorn and s'mores. Our room was spotless and had that wonderful "clean" smell that immediately made us feel at ease. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The location is perfect - just about a mile from downtown where you'll find great shopping and dining options. It's close...

"We stayed one night for an event downtown and I didn't want to spend several hundred dollars. This is perfectly adequate. The sheets smelled of bleach, so I know they were clean. It's a typical motel room. The low price is because it's incredibly dated, worn. If a Super 8 is as low in the food chain as you will go then this place is not for you. We saw something super cool in this place. Echos of a glamorous past. We hope the owner renovates. "
