"This is our second stay at this hotel. Its rooms have been modernised but still show a hint of their earlier days which is a look I like. Great shower and small kitchen area for a morning wake up cuppa. Heaps of restaurants nearby and of course the bars downstairs. Even though the rooms are above the bars it’s not noisy at all. "

The only drawback I noted was the lack of a ground-floor toilet. While I personally did not have an issue with the stairs, I feel this property would be unsuitable for guests who require accommodation without stairs."

"The location was excellent with lovely water views. Pity about the trains close by but they did stop at night. Apart from that, it was very quiet. The property was convenient for shops, restaurants and beach. The owner provided basic provisions including milk, teabags and bread which was very welcome after a long journey. The free wifi was fast and reliable. The property was well equipped but needs a little TLC in areas."
