"I was just passing through on business, so did not have much time to check out the area. The Hotel was looking a bit tired & could do with freshening up a little. I was given room 18 which was tiny with the smallest bath/shower combo I have ever seen! The service & food are good here & the staff are really friendly.I could not use the hotel car park as it was full, however you can park nearby on the road overnight from 5.00pm until 9.00am."

"Great little stay, the staff were so friendly and the food was amazing! The only negative is the pool is very small and the hot tub was out of order. I had a massage treatment which was expensive but fantastic. If I was being picky some areas around the grounds did need tidying up and some tlc but overall a lovely little hotel and nice romantic break. "

"The boars head was such a lovely place to stay was noisy Saturday night as you’d expect but the whole time we were there was great. The staff the food the atmosphere couldn’t be faulted same with the food that was delicious and the breakfast was good too. Would definitely stay there again"

"This place is truly special. The enjoyment begins the minute you walk in and meet the lovely staff. The room itself was perfect-spotlessly clean and totally comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and it was a truly incredible meal. To top off the delicious food, the chef himself came out to introduce himself afterwards so we were able to learn about where all those ingredients came from (all local and totally fresh).
