Bexar County Hotels with Balcony

"The room was dated with broken base boards and chipped paint. There are no riverwalk views and if you get a balcony, beware of mosquitos getting in your room and feasting on you all night. The bathroom vents are very dirty. There isn't a 10x mirror in the room so take your own. Bathroom is very tiny and not much drawer space. Bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were very nice and quick to help throughout text messages. The riverwalk is a short walk. It was not what I expected but we made the best of it."

"So the breakfast area was held for a private event only even though we were supposed to get breakfast every morning...really dissapointing as there isnt anything very close you could walk to for breakfast. "

"Loved this hotel - the Spanish / Argentinian style of the lobby areas and rooms create a perfect SA River Walk hotel. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Staff was kind and helpful. Lobby bar and seating was great. Direct access to the River Walk, but on a quieter stretch just around the corner from the main restaurant & bar section, made access easy but not crowded. We would definitely stay here again. "

"The hotel is under new management and they have their work cut out for them. My room was by the broken elevator, which meant us two little old ladies (66 and 82) had to walk all the way around the building to get to an elevator to go down to the ground floor. We called housekeeping for items that we needed in our room and most of our requests got ignored. They did bring a new coffee maker when ours didn’t work and they changed out the blinking light bulb in the bathroom, but we had to go all the way down to the front desk to get coffee and cups. The Wi-Fi in our room did not work the whole time we were there. Although most of the staff was cordial and pleasant, they did not have enough people to get the job done. The restaurant is closed for renovations and the taco place only had one person working to serve breakfast to the 100 guests from our convention. When we checked out, they graciously gave us a discount on our over priced room, but we expected better from an historic landmark. Maybe I will go back when the renovations are finished and give it another chance."
