"The grounds are beautiful and historic and when we drove up I had high expectations for the interior. I would not consider it anywhere near a 4 star hotel. The room was in a poor state, and paint was chipping from every surface, and the carpet was split down the center of the room creating a crater, in addition to being frayed and shredded. "We stayed there three nights. I would have been a good place to stay for a night or two. We didn't use their restaurant because it was closed most of the time and breakfast there was more expensive than the restaurant right next door. Parking was convenient."

"Beautiful property and convenient to airport. I stayed there my last night in Edinburgh. Setting is peaceful and lovely. Only downside was that there was mildew in the caulking in the bathtub/shower, which was surprising given that the rest of the property was well maintained."

"The room was unique to accommodate us. It has all the facilities in the room with the exception of kitchen to warm your food. You need to have kitchen to assist those who can not afford to eat from outside. There is no food joint around which can provide different varieties of other countries. This can provide additional cost to the facility. My humble suggestion."
