"It's just a student accommodation thats been opened up for use during the summer. It's a nice area. Felt very safe and has some food and shopping nearby. Probably a 20 minute walk from the station and city centre. The accompdation was nice, modern and comfortable. Not as good as a traditional hotel and definitely not as quiet/sound proof. "I found communication a bit slow and posted information on reception desk hours contradictory. I worked out--reception desk was open past 5pm for my 7:15 arrival but I was stressed the whole way from the airport and St George's Quay on foot that I would not make it. I tried to call but using the information presented me could not connect via my USA iPhone. Probably something stupid I was doing but perhaps look at that information and see if it is the best information for travelers from outside...

"Worst decision ever to go with this stay. - lift no working , I had to take my luggages up and down 4 floors. - no trash bin, tooth brush - the front door doesn’t work with the card sometimes so I have to wait until someone comes by - my room door does not lock - 0 soundproof walls and windows. "I have never had an issue communicating with a property using Hotels.Com but that was the case with Griffith Hall. The person who registered us said that it was a common issue for them. In the end, things worked out but it could be a problematic issue. The residence is just that a college residence. Don't expect a regular hotel experience. And be prepared to use public transit to get anywhere or walk a lot. It is not in a central location."

"We were surprised by the check in process. You have to collect your keys quite far from the apartment. So plan for a delay to use transit or a two-way taxi fare. The apartment was dirty. Mould in the closet. The beds were terrible (one like an air mattress & the other was hard as a board). The pillows were so used they were hard packed. The air freshener system is needed because a sewage smell came from one bathroom. The photos used to advertise the unit were not the same as the unit we stayed...

"It was impossible to have to go far away from the apartment to “register”, and only get instructions to get keys who then still were a block away from the apartment, in a lockbox that was hidden in an area behind two doors (not exaggerating), and nobody explained that there were two different codes -one to get behind the doors, then another one (that they forgot to tell us!) to open the lockbox to the key….. We finally got in, only to find someone working on a broken bathroom door… it was cold...

"Extremely friendly hosts! We were greeting on the sidewalk by our hosts and shown to our room. We had access to a hot tub, which we didn't even realize. The bathroom was gorgeous, with a huge shower and Irish rock wall. The beds were comfy and it was great to have access to a full kitchen. The pub is also great to visit, with friendly locals and great prices. I would go again!"
