"I literally happened upon this property in a beautiful coastal suburb, Malahide, right outside of Dublin. I had never heard of Malahide, but a lovely Irish woman suggested I stay at the Grand Hotel for my last night in Dublin. It was a fantastic tip. "Great location, great communal areas. Style over substance and the rooms let it down. Felt tired, bathroom had a few marks, slight smell of sewage in bathroom and air con barely worked. No real amenities in the rooms (no slippers, dressing gown, coffee machine etc)."
