"Another great stay at the George.. Judt one remark .. the shower in 306 has mold in and around the unit .. a quick spritz and scrub would clear this in no time .. Other then that .. excellent"

"We stayed at the St Nicholas, for a gig at the Castle, which is part of the George over the road where reception, bar, restaurant etc are. Location couldnโt be better. Room was fairly standard, but very clean. A bit noisy as fronted onto the High St but didnโt interrupt our sleep. The George is an old coaching inn and a beautiful building. The staff were all extremely friendly, the bar we used at the end of our night out was full of character and the breakfast served the next morning was excellent."

"We stayed for one night as a family of three. The staff were so nice from arrival to departure. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful and it was a happy and relaxed environment. We also found that the member of staff who greeted you when you were swimming was also a really happy, friendly man - these all made such an impact on our stay. I guess the only thing which would have made our stay better would have been a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool - but the air conditioning was a dream! We would definitely stay again."

"Had a really nice nightโs stay with a 3 course meal each at the hotelโs restaurant and we got an upgrade to a balcony room for ยฃ15. Friendly staff and lovely luxury hotel with luxury amenities in the room too. Only improvement could be better air conditioning as the room was still quite hot even with fan unit and ceiling fan"

"We had a very last minute booking, but the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The room was good and spacious, located in the annex, it did not have bath, but we were OK with the shower. The food is good, the breakfast was lovely, however continental part has no porridge and no cheese/charcuterie, just corn and other flakes and bread and jam and some small pastries. Beautiful location, building, good and comfy beds and good service"
