"The hotel and the property were gorgeous. It was a beautiful respite from the crowds of Venice. Concierge was very helpful. Unfortunately, the air conditioner in the room didn’t work during our hot, two night stay. The lights flickered on and off frequently. The maintenance staff tried to fix the air conditioner after the first night with no success. The thermostat beeped incessantly all night after the attempted repair."

"Great pool, good breakfast selection, lovely grand building right on the beach. Shuttle boat into central Venice is very convenient. Drinks in the hotel are extortionate EUR 19.50 for 2 Cokes. There is a Gelateria almost opposite the hotel, that has salads, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, drinks and delicious ice creams at very reasonable prices."

"We found Hotel Rigel to be an excellent choice for our 5 nights. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the waterbus stop on Lido on a quiet road. Our room was comfortable and very clean with some interesting touches of Venetian style. As promised by the reviews, the breakfast was a generous spread of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese, rolls, croissants, cereals, nuts, eggs, salad and a tempting array of biscuits, cake and tarts. "Great suite! Close to many restaurants, the canal, etc. We were up on the top floor and it was quite difficult to carry our luggage up/down three flights of stairs (this stay was at the end of a two week trip with teens). Other than that, it was very nice!"
