"Hate to give this review - I booked a room for the view and received the attached instead. I was informed I can’t get a different view as the full view side was taken - yet you could still book any kinds of rooms online so not sure how booked out they truly were. I’ve yet to find a staff manager as indifferent as the one I encountered, where upon disregarding my request, there was no intent to show good will as I hadn’t sufficiently informed them in advance. "CitizenM concept is great for solo travelers. This particular property is perfectly situated right at the convenient Tower Hill tube station and overlooks Trinity Square. Top floor lounge has an amazing view of the Tower of London and the Shard — as do many of the rooms. Stayed here before, will stay again."

"We stayed in room 922, while a lovely spacious quiet room, there were a few issues. Green flashing light above bed, which goes off all through the night. Asked reception 3 times to sort, eventually they covered this. The access door to the room, whenever opened it made a air sooking noise that we could hear - staff/guests opened this door for no reason. It would be good if a sign was on saying no access etc. We had to ask for the tea/coffee/milk to be replenished as it was not done so...

"We loved the neighborhood. 5 min walk to Earl's Court station with many restaurants A 20 min walk to Natural History Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. Great linens/beds. Quiet, safe neighborhood. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting London."

"Do not stay here! The room we got was really dirty and had one working outlet. Given that it is such a small and minimalist space, we had hoped the room would at least be clean. The bathroom had a horribly poor design with no shower door, so anytime the shower was turned on, the entire bathroom floor was soaked. There was no way to keep the shower water inside the shower as there was so little gradient to the floor to the drain. The reviews said the hotel had beauty rooms on each floor so I...

"The Rubens is a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there upon return to London. The location cannot be beat, only a block or two from Buckingham Palace. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They really were fantastic!! The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Royal Mews. Breakfast was amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about the hotel. Highly recommend!"
