"We really appreciated that our room was ready when we checked in early after a red-eye flight across the Atlantic. Breakfast at the Riu Plaza is outstanding. The location is excellent. The rooms are well designed. My only significant complaint is the poor performance of RIU’s website: I only used Expedia to make this reservation because I couldn’t get RIU’s site to work, and I still have problems using it for simple things like finding hotel information. The RIU loyalty program gives you extra points for booking directly through their site, but my experience is that this is nearly, if not absolutely, impossible. The site is laggy, it sends you round in circles, and times you out while you are waiting for its responses. Thank goodness for Expedia!"
