"It was a beautiful, huge room with big fluffy towels and the jacuzzi was very nice. The jacuzzi had some rust in the lines, so when I ran the jets, it made some yucky orange bubbles, but I just wiped the sides, emptied it, and refilled it. That was all it needed. I highly recommend! I didn’t use the pool, but it looked nice too."

"This is truly a hidden gem! I cannot say enough I much I enjoyed my stay! The room was a very nice size, clean, and safe. The hotel sits right on the beach, plenty of wandering space. Perfect sunsets and plenty of fire pits! 😊 AND the staff- 100% the most wonderful I have ever encountered. I just can’t get over how great my stay was. Will definitely be returning."

"Property is being renovated. Construction materials all over and noise from renovation. The room had construction dust and needed a deep clean. I’m sure it will be adequate when finished."

"Laurie was super nice and helpful with everything hotel and mackinaw city/island related. the campsite and beach were a huge plus. for a small motel it was very nice, clean, modern, and updated. would definitely stay there again."

"Everything about this place is exceptional! The owner has taken updating, remodeling, decorating to the next level A+++++. She is very friendly and accommodating. This is our 2nd visit in 2 years - and we plan to schedule more time there in the coming years (we have family in Cheboygan that we visit regularly)."

"My two favorite aspects about this motel were that it is still privately-owned while others in the area are not; and it is not a two-story structure. Unfortunately, some of our neighbors were loud which you can’t always combat. I loved the coupons the office provided at check-in. We used many of them! The motel is about three blocks from most attractions. All in all, a nice stay in Mackinaw City."

"If I could give this place negative star rating I would. When I booked this hotel online I rather reviews than 20 minutes later. I attempted to cancel my reservation only to be offered a 50% refund per the hotel policy. I decided to try this hotel the first room that they put me in did not have a fitted sheet on the mattress. It just had a flat sheet folded over the top half. They went to bring me a fitted sheet and we noticed there was ants everywhere all over the floor. They moved us to a room...

"I stayed here recently and had a mixed experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent. However, the property is older and could use quite a bit of maintenance and upkeep. While my room was clean for the most part, it felt run down. The floor had a soft spot that made me a little nervous, and the bed sagged due to a lack of support, making it uncomfortable to sleep. I also felt the room was overpriced considering its condition. There isn't an ice machine on-site,...

"1st...just trying to get the door opened..they give you the code but don't tell you about the other buttons that need to be pushed/used...2nd...you had to body slam yourself to get the door open. The carpet and floor are so warped the door wouldn't open or close without a body slam..the door wouldn't lock . The 4 batteries in the door fell out when you either open or closed the door..3rd..it was very damp in the room..4th..no hot/cold symbols on the water handles..it took awhile to figure out...
