"The hallways and stairwell show their age and they do smell old and musty. But the room was immaculate, up-to-date, very comfortable, and refreshing. The bed was so comfortable and pillows were just right. The A/C worked well without being too loud. I will stay here again if I visit Traverse City."

"The hotel is conveniently located near the shopping and ferry dock, but they don’t mention your direct access to beach you walk down a path behind the neighboring hotel. the lakefront view you get isn’t out to a sandy beach fading to water it’s of ferry parking lot. the only microwave (while noted in listing) is in the lobby not awful but also the lobby isn’t staffed all the time (also noted in listing) when I went to check out at 6:00am MI time I was greeted by a note on the door directing me...

"Easy check-in/check-out process. Room was clean, TV worked, conveniently located, reasonably priced. My only complaint is the lack of pillows and bedding. Pillows were insanely flat/thin, only 2 provided along with a thin comforter and loose sheet. Could have been more comfortable. The shower also would randomly get scorching hot for a good 10-15 seconds. The toilet also off and on sounded like it was trying to fill the tank constantly."

"Several fire rings lit along the beach each night. Beach is rocky in the water. We didn’t swim there; Nice, big indoor pool w hot tub. Balcony view amazing. Friendly, accommodating staff. Free shuttle to ferry. Good breakfast. What more could you want?!"
