Grand Hôtel Des Alpes

"We can't say enough about the Grand Hotel Des Alpes. Centrally located in town, so made it easy to visit local shops and phenomenal restaurants (e.g. Atmosphere, Rose de Pont and Matafan, all highly recommended). Skiing to each of the 4 resorts was made easy through the hotels shuttle service. Picks you up at the hotel and drops you off at the slopes. Then returns you. Both to and from are on a schedule you decide. Staff was amazing. Little positives like sweets in the early afternoon and savory snacks in the late afternoon were a very nice surprise. We will always stay here when visiting Chamonix. Doug and Nadine"

"The service was friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is wonderful with a great selection. The only thing lacking (and this is a small thing) is the spa. The water in the hot tub should be "HOT", around 103 degrees if it is to have the effect of a hot tub rather than at 95 degrees. But as I said, that's a small thing. "
