"This charming castle is truly a gem among Umbrian fields. Set on a hill, it's a very well-maintained and clean hotel, with a pool overlooking the nearby valley. The staff was amazing, and especially Daniela at the reception desk who made us feel like at home. "Beautiful hotel set in bucolic hill top location with spectacular views. The staff were welcoming , friendly and efficient. You can judge hotel service by the speed issues are addressed. We had a few minor issues : a safe without a key, a leak from the air conditioning unit , dud batteries in the telly remote and needed an extra pillow . Within minutes ,new safe ,new batteries ,extra pillow and air conditioning unit serviced immediately. Beautiful dining room with panoramic vistas including spectacular sunsets over the mountains. Dinner and service were excellent and breakfast extremely good. Coffee dispensed from machine was ok , not the best. Machines seem ubiquitous these days."

"We spent three nights in Castello di Cisterna and it was quite magical. Antonio is a true gentleman and his vision and care of the castello is evident everywhere you look. It really was like stepping back in time but with modern amenities ! To have a fire in our kitchen fireplace on a chilly evening while we made dinner was the perfect way to spend an evening. The view from the grounds is amazing and it is a very relaxing place to be- I only wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed the pool! We can’t wait to go back "
