"I was a little leary when I seen the neighborhood this was in. Graffiti on the walls of the buildings down the block. But turns out, the neighborhood was amazing. Kate our host was exceptional! "Ideally situated across from Termini station, so it's very easy to get everywhere. We actually walked to most of the main attractions as it only took about half an hour and it was good to see the surroundings. The hotel itself is good but basic, and could benefit from some renevation especially the bathroom, it also lacked tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom which are normally standard in hotels, but at least it had a fridge which was ideal for keeping drinks cool in the hot weather. One of the downsides for us was having to leave our room key with reception when we went out, when we got back we gave our room number to the receptionist and were automatically given the key, we weren't asked for any identification so could have been anyone. It didn't give us confidence that our belongings were safe in our room as in theory anyone could have accessed our key."

The gym is in great condition and has everything you need including a nice outdoor exercise area. The pool is small but great for a quick cool down. Overall a reasonable price and the best things to see in Rome and a 20 minute walk away or a short bus or metro. We had a great time."

"We stayed at Hotel Liberté as a family of three during our trip to Rome. Overall, we had a nice stay and really liked the neighborhood. It has a young, hip and artsy feel, with lots of little bars, restaurants and about 15-20 mins walk on side street from Termini Station. If you enjoy that kind of atmosphere, you’ll probably really like the area. One thing to keep in mind is that it gets very lively and loud at night, especially on weekends. There was quite a bit of street noise and people out at the bars until around 2–3am, so it may not be the best choice if you’re a light sleeper or travelling with young kids. We were travelling with our 8-year-old, so this was something we definitely noticed. We also experienced a strong cigarette smoke smell coming into our room, which seemed to be coming through the ventilation. This was uncomfortable for us, especially travelling with our daughter. We brought it to the hotel's attention and they were responsive and offered cleaning, fresh linens and compensation for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. Overall, the location and neighborhood were definitely highlights for us. I would recommend it to people who enjoy a younger, artsy area with nightlife and don't mind some noise at night."
