I enjoyed the buffet in the morning. One thing I wi sh is for them to have an ATM inside the hotel. There was an ATM at China Bank a few buildings away. The employees work very hard trying to get a taxi for you.

The Lex hotel was much more than expected. All staff polite, friendly and helpful. Lovely welcome drink which was much appreciated after an 18 hr flight. Room a good size, with a massive bed, tea, coffee, etc and a fantastic shower. Lovely roof top bar and pool. Food - breakfast a reasonable price £9. Buffet with wide selection. Lovely ambience. Lunch and dinner either in the restaurant or roof top bar were again amazing. Tasted wonderful and beautifully presented. Prices again great. Two mains and drinks £15 for two. Two/three minute walk, fast food and good quality local cuisine. Getting around - Use the grab app for taxis. Not a huge amount near the hotel to see cultural but easy to get to the fort, basilica etc by taxis or a long 40 min walk, although it should have been less, we did not have a good map and kept getting lost. Trips out. Used someone who had been recommended to us. Communicated by WhatsApp. About £154 for a trip to swim with the sharks, visit the falls and then do the sardine run with snorkelling with the turtles and hundreds of different fish. Day 2 £125 for the chocolate hills, tarsiers and various local cultural sites. Both days amazing experiences. Top tips - print a good map of the city out before you go. Download the grab app. If shark swimming, take footwear you can walk in the water with. Flip flops not ideal. Also for any sea activity pay extra for the water camera, it’s only about £5 otherwise you will not have photos of the event.

The property was very clean and the staff are excellent! The hotel was conveniently located at the heart of the City. We enjoyed our stay there especially the buffet breakfast. The only thing that was somewhat out of place is the glass partition separating the bathroom from the bedroom. Though they put curtains to offer privacy when we use the bathroom, we dont understand why this was set up this way. Overall, two thumbs up!

Happy with recent renovations. Have stayed at this hotel for years. Like the new restaurant. Wish they would do something great with the old bar/ restaurant area. They had a little coffee stand there for a while. Fitness center is better than before. Please take care of mold smell there. Bar tender / servers upstairs in pool area are great!

really superb as hotels go.
really is top rate staff are incredible nothing is ever to much trouble, great food as well you can order any during the day, breakfast is buffet lots cooked fresh on the spot, over all brilliant even near Centre of town and Ayla business as well, whats not to like about this place.

Great value for the money. Upscale hotel, great friendly staff and the dining area and services are the best. The only negative is the windows in our room were dirty and need cleaning. Very minor issue. Will definitely stay again

I recently stayed at the Lex Hotel Cebu with my wife and crazy toddler and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. The hotel's location was convenient for exploring the city's, and the breakfast and food in general was exceptional. Overall, a great stay that I'd recommend to others!

Likes: The front hotel staff is friendly and has been on every visit. Valets are helpful and friendly. The pool is still a nice little getaway. An improvement we've noticed is the updated breakfast area with a great food selection. What has negatively changed between 2015 and now? Dislikes: They repeatedly asked for our room number during breakfast and attempted to charge our son. He was already a part of our reservation. The room quality has degraded since my past visits. The blind in our bathroom has mold on it and is stained. The shower mechanism is challenging to utilize for warm water. It is hard to get it to work in warm water. The outlets are far from end tables, so the devices barely reach them. There needs to be device plugin modernization made. Corkage fees apply if you bring a drink to the pool from an outside purchase. Rooftop pool drinks served by the staff are overpriced and only offer a small selection of choices. There's even the threat of fees for not eating all your food during the "free" breakfast. We used to love this place but all the badgering and fees make it no longer an option.

The best thing about our stay there was their staff. They were very pleasant, attentive, and friendly. They provided excellent service and made us feel so at home. Would definitely recommend staying there if you’re in Cebu!

I cannot fault my stay at the Lex at all. The room cleanliness the house staff were absolutely amazing and friendly. The management are so lucky to have such wonderful people such as Albert in the roof deck bar, and staff such as Rara, Jessa, Mary. The doorman with the big happy smiles and warm greetings and Rance the very friendly lifeguard. ALL the staff made my stay so wonderful. I will definitely be using the Lex for further trips to the Phillipines.

Don’t say I did not warn you
This may be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. So much road noise that we had to downgrade to another room. The air conditioning did not blow cold so we then moved to another room. That air did not work well also but we just settled. The manager was not interested in our issues and made an appointment on our third day because she was so busy. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here
