The front desk staff is hands down the best. Breakfast is wonderful, with many options. I really like the ladies that cleaned our room. What a hard working group.

The location was ideal and we were able to access the historic centre and the tourist locations. Staff were extremely helpful and recommended dining options. The room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was generous with a wide variety of food on offer. We would definitely stay here again.

The parking is kind of a nightmare, there’s nowhere to unload your bags and you can’t park on the street. The staff are really nice and there’s a little bar that’s open 24 hours so you can get drinks and snacks. The breakfast is good.

Stayed for 2 nights, dissapointed with cleanliness of room. Cups were dirty, coffee stained all over. Tray was full of dust, kettle hasnt been descale for long time. Reported this to front desk, yet no action taken. Very poor service

Having both lifts down for over a day was a bit of a hassle only because I was a single traveler with 2 suitcases. I had to carry both down 4 flights if stairs. Understanding that this was over a bank holiday, some assistance from staff would have been appreciated.

A fine hotel at this price-point: excellent location not far from the railway station in one direction and the cathedral in the other. Perfect for a walking tour of Canterbury. It is a modern building with a traditional style 3 storey street-front. As an added bonus, it has an archaeological site in the basement, visible through a glass floor: the remains of a D shaped Roman theatre built around 220 AD.

The Hampton by Hilton Hotel was such a pleasant experience for my husband and I. Every staff member went above and beyond for us; the cleanness of our room to the selection of food breakfast and many varieties of foods was second to none. It’s worth more than 3 stars. Very neat and professional, cost effective and generous with their time. We also received complementary Ferrero Rocher and an upgraded room for my husbands birthday which truly made our time here pleasant. We shall definitely be coming back again in due course☺️

Way too noisy fan type noise
Stayed twice now, once in old part of building and once in new part. Both rooms had ridiculously loud fan-type noise constantly even when heating was off, so no decent sleep in either room. Bed very firm. Inset washbasin was clean in the bowl itself but you could see in the mirror really thick dirt/grime around the area between the basin and the surface - needed a really good clean

Ideal location for sightseeing in Canterbury. Staff were excellent, friendly and approachable. The bar and lounge areas were clean and comfortable, with a 24 hour service for guests. Loved the Socialite cocktail bar next door. Breakfast was really good considering it's a buffet, the coffee machines waffle irons really impressed us! Only a minor issue, the room didn't have many drawers or a heated towel rail, the shower leaked slightly, and one side of the bed was really close to the wall.

Second time staying here in Canterbury and our first option if going to the Marlowe for a show. City centre location is great with everything walkable, the staff are always excellent and the breakfast buffet has everything we require and well cooked and presented
