"Walls are paper thin. We literally heard snoring all night from the room next to us. Also, the smell of cigarette smoke kept coming into our room.

"I was surprised that they only provide paper cups in the room, like a motel. When complained, they told me they would send some glass cups, they never did. Very disappointed by their service. The room was very noisy and the hvac did not work well and kind of noisy. I don’t think i will return. They also charge lots of destination fees for nothing. The bed was very soft, no cabinets or drawers in the room."

"Upon check-in, Alex was kind and helpful. He gave us some great tips about the hotel and some things to explore and where to eat. Alex was moved by our mother-daughter trip before my daughter travels to Spain to study. He even left us a sweet treat which was a perfect end to our evening. The room, the view, and the shower were absolutely perfect! We will be back to Chicago and because of Alex we will only be staying at L7 when we do. Thanks for your kind words, Alex."

"Great location and very convenient to everything. You can tell the hotel has been recently renovated, but it’s not a luxury stay. If you want a reasonably priced place where you’ll mostly just sleep and spend your days out exploring, this is a great option. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming."

"Valet parking was easy and worth the extra money to be able to take your car in and out of it a few times during your stay. Hotel room had great views on the 18th floor with tall ceilings. Room was clean and had everything I needed and lots of space. The bathroom barn door style was sticking at one point and maintenance came immediately to fix it. Friendly staff. Comfy beds great location to shopping, river walk, parks, Navy Pier. no complaints. "

"Its a bit laid back. Professionalism is a bit lacking. Everything from the slow lifts to the front desk takes time. Keys may not work, key staff may be missing, wrong billing may occur - its part of the package!
Hotel would be better served by the staff being more accomodating and helpful. Considering the price and the ownership, more is expected. Location is very very good. Overall, unlikely to stay again."
