"The room had a great view of Edinburgh Castle. Everything was in walking distance of the hotel. The room was nice and comfortable. Had an issue with a blind, and maintenance fixed it immediately. Breakfast was either continental or big breakfast. For its price and location, one couldn’t go wrong with this hotel. We would stay here again."

Also as a VIP Expedia member we received complimentary drinks at the sister hotel down the street. Jimmie the bartender explained all the different scotch and whisky they had. "Friendly staff and a lovely apartment in a great location (especially for the grassmarket). However there were a couple of issues with maintenance, broken blind in living area so couldn't open or close blind (ground floor), no light bulb in only lamp in lounge, no washing up liquid and broken bin in bathroom. Its a shame as overall the apartments were clean and decorated beautifully so hope they don't let poor maintenance ruin the standard. Biggest issue however was there was no hot for my son...

"We only stayed one night while waiting for our air BnB, but it was wonderful! Everything was clean and fresh. The room was big and had everything we needed. It smelt amazing. The staff were so kind and accommodating! Highly recommend. "
