"Clean room with good facilities. Staff were excellent and very helpful even providing umbrellas for use on the beach. Location is fantastic just a short 5 minute walk to main beach. 100% would stay again."

"We did a road trip from Sydney to The Gold Coast and stopped at Byron. We booked a deluxe suite for two nights @$290 pn because ours was a last minute trip and nothing else was available. Parking was included. The ground floor room was very convenient to access and was huge. More spacious than appeared in the photographs. You could tango in the bathroom and waltz around more freely in the bedroom!! It had an extra bed, a sofa, dining table and plenty of storage. The bathroom had a full length tub - full length!! - that was easy to get in & out off (at my age that’s a consideration). The balcony faced the road and really wasn’t an issue for us. The location was fabulous just 100 metres to Main Beach and around the corner from the shops. We didn’t have to take the car anywhere & deal with street parking which was great. The morning tea/ coffee fruit and muffins from 7-10 or 11am were a lovely bonus. Not just a token plate but the best muffins I’ve had! And a good choice of Nespresso pods. They offer beach towels and beach toys/ floaties etc for your use from reception. Don’t forget to slather on your sunscreen from the lobby before you head off. The external showers when you return from the beach are on the side lane. Such a lovely stay (sigh!). I would love to come back for a return stay- maybe at the penthouse which looked fabulous from the street!! "

"My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Aloha. Check in was a breeze, the staff were lovely and the rooms were well decorated. We loved the room had both aircon and a ceiling fan and came with additional extras such as a nice beach bag and beach towels. The shared kitchen was an absolute treat too as we didn’t realise we would have access to free breakfast and bottled water! It’s in a great location with a short walk to the beach and town. It’s honestly a perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend!"

"Choosing to stay here you need to keep in mind that it is a 2 star hostel so you can't expect bells and whistles. You have to manage your expectations. That being said me and my partner found this to be the perfect base for our Byron Bay stay. We stayed in a private cube double room and to be honest it's everything we needed. We've stayed in 5 star hotels before and I can honestly say the bed in this hostel was one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in! We had a fridge to store food and drink & even a kettle with tea, coffee & milk. Please be warned the rooms are not air-conditioned but we did have a big fan on the wall that helped massively! We can't comment on kitchen/ cooking facilities as we did not make use of these. Bathrooms are perfectly functional but could do with some tlc and a more regular cleaning schedule. We made sure we took antibac wipes in with us every time & always where you flip flops in the shower lol! The room was overall clean but could have definitely done with a deeper clean such as upholstery clean & walls/skirtings/Windows. Overall we had a lovely stay here and found the staff super friendly and helpful! "

"This hotel was rather quirky and quite strange. The view over the pool and the beach were just as shown on their website in other words a fantastic view. The hotel looked a little bit dated with worn carpets and a shabby appearance. The room itself was pretty spacious, but it had polished concrete floors and tapestries on the walls which all looked incredibly dated. It really could do with a fairly major Refurb. On the positive side there was a free drinks voucher for the bar Next Door which we greatly appreciated and 10% of all food and drinks in that same bar which we used on a few occasions. Its location is fantastic right by the beach with lots of shops and restaurants and bars all around. There are also two electric car chargers in the underground garage which is especially beneficial if you were driving an electric car. It’s location is fantastic right by the beach with lots of shops and restaurants and bars all around. I’d recommend to stay there but I’d also recommend that the hotel seriously consider a Refurb."
