"Everything about this hotel was great. The staff who welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco and advice about where to go and eat. To the beautiful room, lovely and spacious and very clean. A bath and walk-in shower both spotless and powerful. The breakfast was lovely (heated plates a nice touch), only niggle was that it was a limited range of breakfast items out, however being able to order pretty much any breakfast item, cooked fresh was a treat; my poached egg and oak smoked haddock was delicious. We did come for the spa and it didn’t disappoint. It was great putting on your robe in your room and waking down one flight to find yourself in the spa! Plan to return!"

"The room was small but adequate and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our breakfasts and had plenty to choose from. The bar staff were pleasant and helpful. It would have been good to have some evening lights on the outside path down to the town. The gardener had a difficult job to clear the leaves from the path. He did a good job"
