"Another great stay . Spotless rooms and facilities (we stayed in the barn annexe). Staff excellent and breakfast first class. Lots of variety and uses local produce for their meals. We ate our evening meals there as well. Will definitely go back again . "

We thought the main bedding could be better with a bit more blackout curtain/blinds as the ambient lights outside were on for a longer period at night - these are some feedback for the sake of it. "Room was clean, the decor was in need of a refresh. The carpet on the stairs leading up to the rooms is very off putting and had me worried about the room itself. So I was pleasantly surprised. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was ok, plenty of hot water and the shower was great. Breakfast was very good and the staff were pleasant. "

"Shap Wells was an unexpected gem! The hotel was wonderfully decorated with stained glass and an “old world” feel. The room and hotel was clean and the food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking space was generous and we certainly felt safe! Beautiful place to stay with an interesting history!"

"Very clean room and breakfast lovely, hot, high quality bacon,sausage etc . Pets welcome in the bar area only Mattress too firm for our choice but this personal to each person . Nice touch of bottled water , various selection of small soaps, shampoo etc and choc biscuits in room . Very busy Friday night for eating so understandably bit of a wait find our table and take orders . Great food and beers ! "
