"As a single woman travelling alone, I rarely feel unsafe in a hotel, but unfortunately at this hotel I did and I never leave negative reviews. Upon arriving the reception area had a few Eastern European men ‘mooching’ about, there was nobody on reception to greet me, but knowing this is a check in remotely hotel that was fine, had it not been for the men hanging around the area. "Our room was cosy & clean in the Garden house. We loved the buggies that took us all around the different parts of the estate. The staff were so friendly & helpful. Our Sunday dinner was delicious. Breakfast was excellent too. The SPA tailored massage treatment given by Sylvia was so amazing. The indoor swimming pool was lovely. The saunas & jacuzzi was so relaxing. We had an amazing Birthday celebration at Beaverbrook. I highly recommend this hotel. "

"This was our 2nd stay at this hotel amd we loved it on both occasions. Really lovely welcome from all the staff. There is a beautiful scent around the property whjch makes it feel very luxurious. Some aspects of the room like the furniture and carpet are rather dated /worn but the beds are comfy and rooms are quiet. "Arrived at a pitch black compound with no lighting, had to rely on my phone's flashlight. My son FELL DOWN in the darkness. Called the service number for help and was basically told 'other guests managed, so you should too'. Not only is this unsafe, it's unacceptable customer service. "Had a great stay atvyhe Hurtwood. Found it by chance. Great village with plenty of walking direct in to the Surrey Hills as directed by the lovely lady who checked us in. Room very comfortable with fresh milk provided. We found the car park easy for a big car, but would not be so easy in season I think. Dinner in the bar was excellent and good portions. Breakfast cooked to order also great. Will go again. Thank you."
