"Great location on corner of the beech with panoramic views of Copacabana Beech. It is the tallest building on the beech. Staff knows English and were very helpful. Hotel gave us full access to the facility with showers after checking out last day before all night flight home. They provide chairs and umbrellas on the beech. The beech bars are awesome near by. The breakfast buffet is well worth including in the package with excellent service and variety of breakfast food to fuel your day. The roof top bar is a must at sunset with views of the beech and Christ the Redeemer Statute. "

"🇺🇸 As an American visiting Brazil, I felt very safe and welcomed. Everyone was super nice, helpful, and friendly. The nightlife here is 🔥 busy — especially since you’re right in the city center. If you’re hoping for a quiet, relaxing night, just know this area stays active late 🌃. 📍 You’re walking distance to popular spots like the Arches of Lapa and the Selarón Steps 🎨, which is perfect for sightseeing. Breakfast 🍽️ in the mornings is nice, though it can get a little repetitive if you’re staying for a while. The staff was always accommodating and kind 🙌. 🛏️ The room itself was nice and comfortable, but the bathroom 🚽 felt a little dated — the toilet showed some yellowing and could use an upgrade. There were snacks 🍫 and drinks in the room, but they’re pricey 💸. It’s better to grab the same things at a local supermarket 🛒 for way cheaper. 🏊‍♂️ I wish the pool and gym 🏋️‍♀️ stayed open 24 hours (they close at 10 PM ⏰). But with Brazil’s famous beaches 🏖️ like Flamengo, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more nearby, you’ll have plenty of options to enjoy during the day 🌞. Overall, it’s a fun and convenient spot if you want to be in the heart ❤️ of the action and experience Rio’s nightlife, culture, and energy ✨."

"We stayed at the hotel with family and friends for a week to attend a wedding It was very convenient, in a safe area and is well maintained. the housekeeping staff do a great job We ate at Canto several times - Food and service is excellent During our stay there was a festival lunch in the Grand Ballroom - the buffet spread, music and service was marvellous The highlight for us was The Grand Club. Such helpful, kind and pleasant staff and a good selection of food at breakfast and cocktail hour, Only negative was that despite booking numerous rooms, an upgrade for two nights was declined, apart "

"I am basing this review on the price paid. We came during the week in wintertime. Breakfast alone justified the stay. 24 hour corner store just a few steps away. Full grocery store a few more steps away. & then of course the beach a few more steps away. Note:water in fridge is not complementary. I thought they were because there were just four small bottles of a no nane brand. "
