"I’d give The New Yorker Hotel a 6/10 overall. The location and building itself are nice, but my experience ended on a frustrating note. I was charged a smoking fee even though I have never smoked in my life. Apparently their sensor was triggered by hairspray, which set it off and resulted in the charge. Now I’m stuck dealing with disputing a fee for something that simply didn’t happen. It’s honestly been a huge pain to deal with, and situations like this make the stay feel a lot less enjoyable. I understand hotels enforcing no-smoking policies, but charging such a large fee without properly verifying what actually triggered the sensor feels unfair. Because of that experience, I can’t rate my stay higher than a 6/10."

"When I arrived I received a very friendly greeting and I instantly felt welcomed. This was really great as I arrived late at night. My entire stay the staff was marvelous. The hotel has a really great atmosphere and vibe. I enjoyed my room, it was clean, cozy and warm! It had a microwave, Keurig and fridge. The hotel is also in a really great location. Not far from Penn Station. WiFi was fast and worked really well. I plan to stay here again. I definitely recommend! "
