"This is a hip, nice, clean hotel that also works for people who might not be that hip and cool. I really just want a comfortable quiet place to stay when I come to NY but love the vibe and you can have both at the ACE Brooklyn. If you want to have a drink amongst both the Brooklyn locals and visitors from all over you can pop downstairs to the bar--which is always busy. "Cons
The “cafe” and “bar” are pitiful.
The room was not cleaned every day. On day three, I called the front desk because I had no clean towels and the trash was overflowing and they told me “our policy is to clean rooms every day, however, to insure a visit from housekeeping, guests must call each day and specifically request one.” That is absurd.
Half of the electronics charging ports did not work.
The TV remote stopped working in the evening, replacement remote/batteries were not...

"Ian Shrager (think Studio 54) properties not what they used to be . . . room was uncomfortable . . . both pull out and actual bed are saggy futon mattresses with mold on the pullout. We had to wait close to an hour (and two phone calls later) for sheets and pillows to be brought up first night at 11:00."

"The air con makes some noise if that bothers you , and the beds are just good not super . But the staff are really nice. The doormen are really nice and helpful . It’s a nice suite we had a delux king suite . For the money it’s a bit expensive because it’s old and they should buy mattress pads for the beds to make them more comfy .
The pillows are great . The sheets are soft .
It’s a great location for restaurants etc .ive stayed there twice . I’d probably go back because when i needed to...
