"We stayed in an upstairs courtyard room. The room was clean and well presented with the bedding fresh. All the staff that we interacted with were a credit to the hotel and nothing felt like too much trouble. We opted for breakfast each morning of our two night stay and the quality of the ingredients and service were a highlight of our visit. The external door of our block was a problem as difficult to shut without banging and others left it unlocked. We noticed this with most of the courtyard external doors. An interesting place to stay."
"Our room was spacious and the fabrics were lovely.
TV didn't work initially but the response was immediate and the problem resolved.
All staff we encountered were very polite. "
"Great family room with so much space for us all, met at reception in the evening by lovely helpful staff. The bar area was lovely, breakfast with plenty of choice and a nice garden and park area for us in the morning before our travel"
"For me the hotel represents good value. I like the location by the river and there are plenty of places to eat and drink at within a 10 minute walk. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style but as with all buffets, it’s in the timing. Nice bar which we used as well. Not our first stay here and won’t be the last."
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newcastle International Airport
8/10 Good
"Bathroom shabby grouting will worn. Requested early morning call which is very important as had to be at the airport at 4-30am never got a call. Mentioned it on check out and he said they tried 5 times so they were sending engineer to check tel lines surely a knock on the door was needed???"
"Beautiful venue. Menu fairly limited and expensive but dining room experience was lovely. Room well appointed but dispensers didn’t work and the tv was tricky to operate."
