"Very welcoming and friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay there. It was a great place to stay whilst my husband and son climbed Snowden there was still things to do for those that didn't. Would recommend this hotel. "

The town centre had plenty of shops, convenience and specialist, restaurants, bars and lots of places to walk and trails to follow, it also has a great water fall with rocks which is a great place to visit or picnic too. Definitely a place to visit.

Make time to see Ffos Anoddun instead of Fairy Glen. It's in the same river gorge area - a bit off the beaten path - and incredibly beautiful. Ffos Anoddun is also free to access (unlike Fairy Glen)

Betws is my favourite place on earth, it provides an instant sense of calm whenever I arrive. The ambience is always so chilled and there's so many amazing walks on your doorstep.

Good Indian, and a decent chippy. Beautiful waterfalls. Went on a lovely (if steep) hike up and round a lake. Stunning vistas, highly recommend to walkers.

A charming little village /town. Great for all ages . Plenty of places to eat - check menus and times to see they suit .booking may be worth it particularly in school holidays . Great little shops - particularly outdoors and souvenir shops .

The walk by the river is lovely. We did a more adventurous one up the back to the lake & old Roman road route.

Make sure you get dinner in before 8-9 PM as there is no food available after that.

Shame there wasnt more places of choice to eat. The Indian restaurant was disappointing , very little choice on the menu and expensive for the quality of the food.
"This must have been a truly magnificent building when it was new, now it's a bit tired, there are plastic conduits stuck onto the old walls with high ceilings that take the power to the crystal chandeliers. The green carpet does not go with the turquoise ceiling and battle ship grey paint on the wood chip wallpaper, but it all shows the history of the building and I find the result charming, it has character."
