We made full use of the swimming pool, sauna and steam room, very appreciated after a day of hiking. Homely rooms, loved the decor, reserved a room with a super king bed, mattress very comfortable, black out blinds included, we both has a very well rested sleep. Ate an evening meal in the bistro and had breakfast, great options for both and cooked as requested.

Perfectly functional hotel. Some lovely areas but others that let it down. The pool and spa facilities were lovely but we unfortunately seemed to go at time when children’s swimming lessons were taking place. Bar was good and staff in there were super. Food was excellent but let down by the restaurant staff’s poor service which actually put us off eating in the hotel after the first experience. Room was fine but needed some updating and in need of a bit of decoration. Overall the staff were ok and the hotel fine but just not great.

We had a great time at Celtic Royal Hotel. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially the reception lady who welcomed us there. She gave us lots of tips about interesting places to visit. We travelled with our dog and as a result of that we could not eat at the restaurant or bistro. However, our table was set up for us in the lobby. What a bonus! It felt like a private area to just for us. Also, we received a little treat for the dog which was waiting for us in our room. They have a fantastic swimming pool and gym that has just been renovated! Everything is clean and well maintained. My children loved the pool and my wife enjoyed the gym. Rooms would benefit from a bit of refresh but they're not bad at all. The hotel is located very close to all tourist attractions, including Snowdon, Aber Falls, Ugly house, Swallow Falls and many more. I highly recommend it!

We have stayed before and its a lovely base. Staff are good, we came in with a takeaway and the lady on reception asked if we would like plates and cutlery. Nice touch. Only thing i didn't like was the shower in the bath as you got soaked turning it on . Needs a door that is movable. Would go again . We have been twice in 6 weeks . Only other thing is maybe another staff member at check in as was busy , only one lady on . She was efficient but alone.

Stayed here on the 15th to the 16th of Feb; we had a room for 3 people. We arrived at the hotel and from the outside it looked “nice”… the reception lovely… the receptionist even lovelier. We then went to our room, it was dated. The room was cold, you could hear the cars on the road and when exploring the new digs, there was poop in the toilet. It may have been backflow through the pipes but this pretty much just summed up the experience of the hotel. At the end of the day, it’s a room with a bed and it is what you make it. So we went for food. We were optimistic. This was a mistake. I had the rogan Josh dish, the naan bread was tiny.. not enough naan. Saying this; maybe it was a good thing as I felt horrific for little while afterwards. My relatives got the lamb. It was abysmal. It was either left over from the day before or they had brought it from ASDA across the road and microwaved it. Not value for money. AVOID. (The positive is that ASDA is opposite, so if you found the food to be underwhelming and had some unnerving texture to it, pop across the road and purchase food for a fuller stomach. Later, we went for a swim, the lady on the desk was helpful, she was brilliant. The swimming pool. It was not bad. If you want to use hotel as a base and a bed then book. Don’t go to the restaurant or do but it’s at your peril.

It's hard to find anything negative to say about this hotel. The services are good, and the restaurant serves very good food (I recommend the lamb). The hotel staff are incredibly polite. I highly recommend it, with all the warmth and courtesy characteristic of Wales.
