"Had a really pleasant stay at Gwydyr Hotel. The hotel is charming, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with spotless rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Service was warm and attentive, and breakfast was delicious.
Just a small note that there’s no lift, but staff were helpful and everything else more than made up for it. Would happily stay again and recommend it."
"Beautiful property in an amazing location. Sean was fantastic. He was very personable and have great recommendations for food in town and walks/sites to see in the area. Breakfast was delicious. We wish we could have stayed another night. "
"We arrived quite late on a Friday evening, having travelled from London after work. Gareth had kept in touch with us prior to our arrival, assuring us our arrival time would be ok. We were warmly welcomed by him on arrival and he took time to guide us through everything we needed to know.
Our room (Rupert) was wonderful; spotlessly clean, with everything we could have needed, plus more. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding of excellent quality - we slept so well. There was a nice selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and drinking water left for us, which was very welcomed after our long journey.
The breakfast options were superb - so much choice and everything we tried was perfectly cooked. Rana is an amazing chef. My favourite was the Eggs Benedict - the eggs were perfectly poached and the hollandaise sauce delicious. The homemade yoghurt was one of our favourite items also, topped with some of the delicious freshly-prepared fruits and granola.
The location of this property was perfect -we were visiting with the aim of climbing Snowdon on the Saturday and finding other things to do on the Sunday -we were spoiled for choice as there is so much to do in Snowdonia. We ended up wandering around the village of Betws-y-Coed on Sunday morning, visiting Swallow Falls and then visiting a mine. Gareth was helpful with suggestions of places to visit and there was also a good selection of leaflets available at the property for ideas. Thank you!"
