"Staff were lovely from the check in to check out, and in the restaurant. We used the pool which was great. Only criticism is that the gave most of the pool to lane swimming with only a few people using that area and packed in around 15-20 people in one third of the pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was great. Breakfast had a good choice and was kept tidy and filled."

"Lovely new hotel in renovated, historical surroundings! My room was gorgeous, the shower was large and had really nice product, the staff were helpful (although there was some confusion about how often the room got cleaned and it if was possible to request a greater frequency). Note: they need to staff more people for the restaurant. It's a beautiful place but if there's only one person managing orders, billing, and the espresso bar, they're going to be stressed. That's not the staff's fault, that's a matter of management. "

"This was our third stay here and it didn't feel as good this time. Room was nice but would have benefited from a deep clean. Pool is great but jacuzzi was out of order and every time we collected a pool key card it didn't work and we had to traipse back to reception. Breakfast options are good, but things ran out and were slow to be replenished, only one coffee machine was working so a big queue, and our table wasn't cleared in the whole time we sat there. Location is helpful as there is parking and then various bus services into the city, or it's a nice walk along the river. Staff very friendly but alot of them were new and unsure of how to do things. "

"Ordinarily a very impressive hotel (4th stay in as many years) however on this occasion we were left thoroughly disappointed. Shower faulty in the room which led to the bathroom flooding alongside a failure with the lift leading us to be stuck in the lift meant the whole experience was terrible"

"Check in for this hotel is 16:00 which I didn't realise at that time. The room was okay in terms of cleanliness and the bathroom had hairs in the bathtub. The tv was damaged had a green line going through. Only had interaction with one staff member who seemed nice at reception. I would never book the dragonfly again and avoid rhe Surya Hotels altogether. "
