"First of all, be aware that this hotel does not have air conditioning. Europe is experiencing unprecedented heat, so it is important to verify that AC is available. I indeed thought it was, only to be informed at arrival that "only some rooms are". The property itself is ok, amenities are few, reception closes at 6pm. Young, inexperienced staff. We stayed in the superior double" which was stifling and had no view. There are apparently some much better rooms in the hotel if one specifies...

"Absolutely beautiful property. I wish they had parking available but a lot is conveniently next door. Also wish we hadn’t been there during the preparation for Jazz Fest which blocked the view of the lake and promenade a bit but that was just our timing and certainly not the hotels fault."

"The location of the hotel is excellent and overlooking the lake. The hotel and staff were very good. We had an issue with our tv and they sorted it out for us. My only downside was the jazz festival. After booking we were pre warned that there maybe noise disturbances from the set up which was fine and not an issue. The restrictions of the festival walking along the water and having to go up to the main road was frustrating. But the noise disturbances on the evening when the festival started...

"Room was clean, the room service was done every day. Staff was very nice. Location is close to pubic transportation. Car parking is available as well. "

"Overall this was a fine hotel that was clean and comfortable. It was in the high seventies while we were there and they do not have air conditioning. They did provide a very loud fan which was helpful but it was rather stifling being on the 4th floor. They do not have a shuttle and the hotel is up on a hill in old town, which is a beautiful but steep hike up from the train station and lake. Breakfast was nothing special, some dry pastries, yogurt and small variety of meats, cheese and fruits."

"The hotel is full of heritage, dating back to the mid 19th century. Both the building and its interior are fascinating, with relaxing colors that create a peaceful and stress-free atmosphere. We stayed for just one night during our long motorcycle trip, so unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the additional services the hotel has to offer. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing - exactly what we needed after several days on the road....
